Flowers, Springtime and Life

"Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful, they are sunshine food, and medicine to the soul." -Luther Burbank
Its getting to be that time of year. The time of fresh starts and new beginnings. Grass grows and flowers poke their little heads out of the warm moist dirt. Spring time is a time of happiness and excitement. People start planning out their summer trips and adventures. Easter comes and brings us time with family and friends, and everything just feels cheerful.

My favorite part of spring is the beautiful flowers. Flowers are a lot like life…Every flower has to grow through dirt.

"Where flowers bloom, so does hope."

That pretty much sums up springtime for me…a time of hope. Just thinking about spring gives me a feeling of hope for the future, and motivation to follow my dreams.

If you know me you know i am a disney fanatic! You can learn many lessons from disney stories. One of my favorite disney princesses is Mulan because she is strong willed and courageous. In the movie they say,

"The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all."

I really love that quote and agree with it. The people who have faced many struggles and overcame it are some of the most incredible and beautiful people. I like to think i am like a flower that has been through a lot of storms and just waiting for the conditions to be right to blooms. I want this spring to be the "spring of all springs." The chance to accomplish all the things i have been waiting to do.
I encourage you to think deeply about what you want to accomplish this spring. Is their something you have always been wanting to do? Something you have been wanting to stop perhaps? Maybe you have been wanting to get reacquainted with a loved one or friend. This is the season to do it!

How full is your cup?

Welcome everyone to my new blog and thanks for stopping by! In starting this blog i have many hopes, dreams and aspirations. I am using this as a platform…a platform where i can have a voice and most importantly to help and inspire others. I want to focus mainly on living a positive life but want to cover a large range of topics. I am a girl of many interests and am always learning. With all that in mind i also want to touch a lot on living a positive and hopeful life in lieu of having major health issues and disabilities. The first thing people tend to lose when they get sick or face any adversity is lose hope…and that is one of the absolute most detrimental things you can do! I am not perfect and i still have a lot to learn about life, But i have been dealt a rather "interesting" deck of cards and it has taught me a lot about life, love, and happiness. Life is like a big cup of coffee(or whatever beverage you like) The way you life your life is up to you. Do you choose to look at the positive in every situation or focus on the negative. I will let you know right now that looking at the negative gets you nowhere good. I believe that what doesn't kill you makes you stronger and you can always learn from the situation. I have decided that my large pink Starbucks mug is going to be half full even though it seems like everything is going wrong. So what do you choose? Is your cup half empty or half full? Its up to you!
